THERAPIST | CLINICAL GRADUATE STUDENT

Emily Cury, Clinical Graduate Student

My practice is centered on the process of self-discovery, where I partner with individuals to explore their unique experiences and aspirations. My approach is deeply rooted in empathy and respect, focusing on understanding and valuing each person's personal journey. With over a decade of experience working with college students and young adults both inside and outside of the classroom, I bring a unique perspective to this role—a perspective that enriches my understanding of the diverse challenges faced by students and young adults. In addition, I have many years of experience working on issues impacting immigrant communities, which provides me with a nuanced and culturally sensitive perspective that enhances my therapeutic work.

In my counseling practice, I emphasize creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard and understood. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their personal, academic, and professional challenges, and fostering growth and resilience through a client-centered approach.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time in nature, walking around the city, cooking, and being with my loved ones. I find joy and balance in these activities and believe that they contribute to my holistic and grounded approach to therapy.

I am committed to supporting individuals in their quest for self-discovery and personal fulfillment, and look forward to working with you to achieve your goals and enhance your well-being.
