THERAPIST | LMSW

Nicole Fontenot

Therapy is a powerful way to fulfill your potential to live a deeply satisfying life. My strengths-based approach is inclusive, empathetic, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I aim to create a compassionate and judgment-free space where your goals and desires are central to our work together. I will always be honest, transparent, and open-minded as we navigate treatment, often utilizing humor to open space for dignity and safety.

As a biracial clinician, I am focused on delivering affirming services to BIPOC and other marginalized identities. My education at the University of Massachusetts established my specialty in mental health and diversity through club membership, coursework, and advocating for inclusivity into the clinical research department. I am continuing my education at Columbia University, focusing on trauma-informed and culturally inclusive therapy. I have experience working with folks managing mental health challenges, grief/loss, and neurodivergence. I’ve also worked with individuals struggling with family difficulties, school, and finances, particularly young women, expecting parents, and young mothers.

Seeing a therapist is a huge step toward creating meaningful and fulfilling self-development. Finding a good match for a therapist has repeatedly been found to be a key part of the process. Don’t hesitate to begin or restart your journey by connecting with me!
