My practice of science-based therapy for anxiety is a culmination of over ten years of experience serving many different communities. I started in 2008 as an outreach worker providing HIV prevention counseling, and after graduate school, I served homeless populations, LBGTQ communities, people with severe depression and survivors of major trauma. One thing common to every community is the presence of anxiety, worry and panic. My specialty in the treatment of anxiety is largely informed by seeing firsthand how these issues touch the lives of people across diverse communities.
The foundation of my therapeutic approach is the science of modern psychology. Starting with a cutting-edge model of therapy, I draw on my experiences over the years to provide a personalized therapeutic experience aimed at producing real results in my clients’ lives. My job is to tailor scientific information to fit a person’s specific needs and guide them through the process of applying that information to improve their lives. I make the process as straightforward and transparent as possible, and it all takes place in a calm and down-to-earth environment.
For me, there is nothing quite as rewarding as witnessing a person’s life get richer and fuller as they gain mastery over their anxiety, worry or panic.
